Water Conservation
It may seem strange to promote water conservation in a region that receives about 38 inches of rain a year. However, continued growth in our area means that our water resources have to be stretched further to serve thousands of new residents and the new businesses and industries they bring with them. Conservation efforts help maintain a reliable, low-cost water supply that benefits current and future residents.
Conservation also saves you money - the less water you use, the less you pay. The average family of four uses 400 gallons of water a day. Every household could save some extra dollars every year by using water a little more wisely. Learn to read your meter and Monitor Water Usage so you can keep track of usage.
The City of Pacific is offering free Toilet Leak Detection Test kits. Pick one up at City Hall during normal business hours.
