City of Pacific
Shoreline Master Program

The City of Pacific maintains a Shoreline Master Program, in compliance with Washington's Shoreline Management Act (SMA), passed by the Legislature in 1971 and adopted by the public in a 1972 referendum. Located on the banks of the White River, Pacific must balance responsible shoreline development with the twin goals of environmental protection and public recreational access.
