City of Pacific
Emergency Preparedness

Dial 911 for all police/fire/emergency needs.

The City of Pacific is small, but we face the same hazards as larger cities. We must work proactively to meet these challenges and prepare our citizens for emergencies. The City of Pacific promotes an "All Hazards" approach to disaster preparedness and encourages personal preparedness and training.

We are trained.
Partnering with the White River Valley Citizen Corps Council and with regional partners, our city supports citizen based training including Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training and Map Your Neighborhood (MYN). For more information on these programs, please visit Auburn Emergency Management.

We have a plan.
Our City's Comprehensive Emergency Plan (CEMP) organizes Pacifics approach to all four phases of emergency management. Our dynamic plan calls for training of staff, critical thinking about current hazards and reasonable mitigation measures to reduce future hazards, as well as guidance for responders during disasters.

We've been tested.
Through a multi-year training and exercise program, we are testing our CEMP and staff readiness. This program calls for a regular schedule of discussion based and operations based exercises that are written, conducted and evaluated in compliance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Protocol (HSEEP). Pacific also maintains compliance with the National Incident Management System (NIMS) and functions under the Incident Command System (ICS)
