The City of Pacific Police Department services a City of approximately 6,300 residents and numerous businesses. The officers respond to 7,500 calls for service per year and that number increases annually by 5%. Because we are located along a major commuter route, we serve a large transient population between the hours of 6:00 AM and 7:00 PM. The City limits border the cities of Auburn, Algona, Sumner, and Edgewood as well as unincorporated parts of King and Pierce Counties. Our officers and supervisors work closely with officers from these agencies on a daily basis.

The well being of our residents and business owners is the number one priority of every department employee. Our objective is to aggressively enforce all laws of the land; including municipal ordinances, as well as County, State and Federal laws. Our proactive diligence, in conjunction with the tireless efforts of our elected officials and residents, has produced some of the lowest crime rates in the region. If every person in the City of Pacific can go to sleep at night without fear of victimization, I feel we have done our job.

As a department, we adhere to a firm code of honesty, integrity, and respect for one another. I encourage our officers to interact with residents and business owners, and I encourage you to interact with the officers in your neighborhood. I thank the people of Pacific for their genuine concern and community spirit. Together, we make Pacific a safe and inviting place to live.

I am always available to anyone who wishes to contact me for any reason. As we face these tough economic times, there will no doubt be some cuts in service from all departments in the City. I assure you that this department will continue to serve and protect the residents and business owners, and keep Pacific safe.
