Employment Application

Police Applicants:
Please obtain a civil service application from City Hall. Do not submit the standard City of Pacific application. The Pacific Police Department seeks to hire only those individuals that possess the highest level of integrity. The Pacific Civil Service Commission sets the standards for applicant qualifications and oversees the hiring process. Successful applicants must pass a rigorous testing process, which is followed by a polygraph examination, a psychological examination, and a medical examination. Once an applicant successfully completes this process and is hired, the applicant must attend and successfully complete the Washington State Basic Law Enforcement Academy, which is followed by a minimum of three months with a field training officer and a probationary period before being designated a permanent employee.
